Slim Fast Low Carb in comparison to ZOIC Nutrition Drink,

Here is a comparative of the Nutrition Facts showing ZOIC 1st on the left and thin Fast Low Carb second on the right:
Calories: 110 190
Calories from Fat: ten 80
Saturated Fat: 0.5g 1.5g
Trans Fat: 0g 0g
Cholesterol: 5mg 15mg
Sodium: 230mg 260mg
Potassium: 230mg 550mg
Total Carbohydrate: 5g 6g
Dietary Fiber: 3g 4g
Sugars: 1g 1g
“Net Carbs:” 2g 2g
Protein: 21g 20g
The vitamins/minerals are somewhat alike in these two drinks and may be found on the Nutrition Facts on the cans. The biggest difference is that thin Fast Low Carb has about 73 more calories and 70 more Fat calories per drink.
The taste, which I was worried about when I order my 1st case of 24 drinks, is alike with the major difference that the thin Fast Low Carb has a smoother, creamier texture. I experimented with adding about 80 calories of cream to a ZOIC drink and it certainly assumed a smoother, creamier texture. The in general taste of both drinks, I believe, is a good taste, but not a great taste. I could give these merchandise a 4.5 ranking if I could.
The thin Fast Low Carb drink with its extra 70 more calories from Fat looks to satisfy my starvation possibly 30 minutes longer than the ZOIC drink without any cream added. ZOIC’s package states “meal complement & snack replacement” not a meal replacement, in other words, it looks logical that one could add a small part of other healthful food to make it a meal.
Both drinks refrain from adding any sugar or sugar alcohols make sure you’re comparing thin Fast “Low Carb” and not other thin Fast drinks which do have sugar added. Both drinks are free from Trans Fat.
I like to use both drinks to give me range in taste and calories. The ZOIC drink at only 110 calories is a good choice when I want less calories and less fat calories, possibly, when a planned meal time must be pushed back in time by a couple of hours. If I need something to skip a meal, then I’ll typically decide thin Fast Low Carb.
Both of these “Low Carb” drinks are good to have on hand in the refrigerator, so you may be able to decide 110 or 190 calories versus many other super sized 500 plus calorie item that can be in the refrigerator too.

This shake tastes better than any other low carb shake I tried, it is smooth and creamy and sweet. I have tried Atkins expensive and not sweet and ESA shakes thin and not sweet and I favor this product. Unfortunately, is the ONLY place I can find these so when they run out I am screwed. I do not understand why this product is so hard to find particularly since it’s infinately better than it is competition.

I liked these because the carbs are so low. I on occasion overindulge over the holidays or vacations and a low carb not many weeks can get me back on track fast! but, these taste humorous to me. They have an odd smell and aftertaste. I tried freezing them. Still blech. I bought a pack of 24 of these, so I had to figure out something!
SO I tried adding a pinch of salt, about 1/2 tsp. Cinnamon, and almost a tsp. Of vanilla to a can. It’s really pretty good!
First, freeze the can till hard. Open the can with a can opener from the bottom and dump it in a big measuring cup. Then smoosh it in with a blender till it’s like a Frosty from Wendy’s. You may have to microwave it for a minute or two to make it soft enough to blend. Then add the salt, vanilla, and cinnamon.
The vanilla helps mask the aftertaste, while the cinnamon helps with the smell but does not add carbs. Akins people, you could add a little heavy cream for texture. South Beach? Maybe skim milk.
Next, I’m trying many mint oil instead of vanilla/cinnamon after I purchase some! as this looks like it could also work. Mint chocolate milkshake? That sounds good on a diet!
I eat it with a spoon. I still can not eat the whole can at a time, but it’s good when you’re craving something sweet besides sugar free jello!
I hope this recipe helps many of you who may not like the taste of these!
