Lowers the volume of most sounds tremendously
It is a pretty good deal for the price. 1st thing I did when I got it’s turn up the speaker of my notebook computer to max volume and play many deafening music, then I put the protector on. I can still hear the music, but not so much the drums and bass. I think if I wear ear plugs it will work better. This is great for those of you that live in apartments, we all know there are noisy neighbors no matter where you go, and particularly if you stay in low end apartments there are more of them. So this may help taking many of the stress out of living in an inexpensively practical housing.

These things are HUUUUGE, they look silly.
They aren’t adjustable and don’t fit a friend of mine’s head
While they offer great hearing protection I use them at an indoor shooting range, they fall short on the size and not being adjustable. Still good enough for me though.
