Rating: Great iPhone charger/alarm clock solution
I bought this last week at Best purchase $64.95 + Fl Tax. Which was about the same price I’d have paid through Amazon. I read complaints about the other Sony iPhone clock looks the same but also has a CD playersaying the display was way too bright in spite of two or three light settings. This clock’s lowest setting is perfect for me, dim enough to not be disturbing, but surely bright enough to see at night. The numbers are nice and big so there is no problem seeing them without my glasses.

The iPhone functionality is good. I can dock my iPhone without removing the rubber case. The alarm may be a buzzer, radio or iPhone. The buzzer sound isn’t real deafening. Deafening enough for me, but many may sleep through it. Its a progressive interval beep, which starts off slow, , then gets faster ie more annoying.

The sound is so so. Not real vital for me, but can be for many people. It’s a tiny speaker after all.There is a back up battery so power outages dont mess up the time/alarm settings. The remote may be useful for many who use it to listen to music with just another useless remote in my drawer for me. The set up is pretty straight forward I’m not big on really reading instructions. Its a bit tough to get to the alarm shut off till you get used to it. Its the front button right at the 3O clock position.

Over all I am giving it four stars. I think its a bit pricey, but not pricey enough to purchase another one for my wife. It surely declutters the night stand a bit.

Oh yea, and a bounus if you have any of the apps like Sirius/AM or pocket tunes, you may be able to get all your beloved sat radio stations on your alarm clock. I dont think you may be able to program it to launch on wake up, but other than than it adds some flexibilty to your sat radio listening.

Rating: Exactly What I Was Looking For in An iPhone Alarm Clock
This is a great clock! It charges my iPhone with no problems and in spite of the small single speaker, has a amazingly good sound. Not audiophile quality, but surely not tinny. Nice listening. Radio works great too.

I am nearsighted, but the display is big enough for me to see on my nightstand. It is been hard to find a clock with a big display that also wasn’t too bright. The display supports three different light levels, so it is not too bright at night.

My only concern is with the sliding docking tray. Feels a bit flimsy, but I suspect that will not be a problem. Majority of people really will not slide it in and out, so I wish they’d intended it with a fixed docking station.

Despite having a plastic DLO cover on my iPhone, there’s no problem docking the phone. I’m not using any of the docking adapters that came with the clock. Works good without them.

Controls are easy to operate and setting up alarm functions is quite simple. Users can set two separate alarms A &amp, B and customize for weekdays. Weekends, or seven days a week. The controls for the A &amp, B alarms are located on reverse sides of the clock on the sides and I like that they’re totally separated to decrease accidents.

There are two models made by Sony. This one doesn’t have a CD player. I did not want one. If you DO want the CD player, look at Sony ICFCD3iP CD Clock Radio for iPod and iPhone Silver

I wanted to add a fast note about this clock radio because most of the other reviews for clock radios do not address the issue that was the most vital to me the strength of the antenna. I looked for an alarm clock that could get better reception in our bedroom than the one we presently own. This clock can pick up stations that are either too fuzzy to hear or do not come in on our current clock.

I also like that the iPod dock slides out, so that I do not have a big part of machinery sitting on my bedside table! I’m happy with this clock radio and my husband is going to be thrilled on Father’s Day!

I needed a CD player/ipod player/radio/clock combo so I could listen to yoga and relaxation music in a room bordering to our bedroom. This item exceeded my expectations! Not only did it do all it claimed, I also could plug in my old mini disc player through its audio in! Since it is not beside my bed, the light it emits is a perfect nightlight glow so I can see my way in the black. I really took it with me in the camper and it was totally perfect! it is so rare for me to find something that I’m totally happy with the days. There is so much junk out there.

GET IT! you will LOVE IT!

Rating: Best iPhone/iPod Docking Clock Radio
I searched a long time for a combo clock radio and docking station for my iPhone. Though there are some number of on the market, I wanted something that took up as little space as possible on my night stand, had a display with big numbers, could charge my iPhone, play music from my iPhone as the alarm instead of the radio, and was easy to use.

I FOUND IT!! This Sony clock radio is great, and has TONS of features. I like the big illuminated display, which has different settings based on how bright you want the light at night. Setting the alarm is easy you can go forward and rearward through hour and minutes, without having to run totally through the cycle like most clocks, and there are TWO alarm settings. You may be able to set an alarm for weekdays to get you up for work, , then a separate alarm for the weekend. Pretty cool.

The snooze button is nice and big over the unit, and let us you take the standard ten minute snooze, or you may be able to keep pressing the button and lengthen the snooze time up to 60 minutes in 20 minute increments. A nice feature.

There’s a sleep feature timer so you may be able to listen to radio or iPhone/iPod music while you fall asleep. For the alarm, you may be able to have a buzz, AM or FM radio, or a tune from your iPhone, and it works great.

Buttons on the front and side are nice and big so you do not have to grope in the black, and there are a range of customizable settings.

The best part is the hidden slide out docking tray. Pop it out when you want to charge your iPhone/iPod or listen to music through the clock’s speaker, and push it back in when you do not need it, making the unit’s footprint as small as possible. The docking tray comes with adapters to fit iPhone or iPod. I use mine without either adapter because I have a protecting case on my iPhone, but it still fits in nicely.

In reading back my review, I sound like a Sony employee, but I am not. Dont have connection to the product, other than I am a pleased buyer, and could recommend this unit greatly to anybody looking for a docking station/clock radio for their iPhone or iPod. There are too many other features to go into here. Have fun discovering all the great things Sony thought of to include on this unit.

The date and time automatically change for daylight savings and standard time changes.

With a dual alarm system, it’s possible to set two distinct times for wake up: a nice feature for couples waking at different times. With the advanced Snoozinator feature, you have the choice to change snooze times. With a each tap of the hand, you extend the snooze for a full ten minutes, the maximum is a six tap setting for a total sixty minutes of snooze. The radio also has a nap timer, allowing you to set the radio to come on after 10/20/30/60/90/120 minutes.

One key safety feature of this clock radio is the weather alert. With this activated, you’ll get updated weather alerts should they be broadcast on the weather band radio stations. The clock radio is powered through common AC current. The color is a modern silver.
