This Shaker style Twin bed box with squared metal drawer handles inclined for a modern look will pop in any decor. Crafted of engineered composite wood panels that carry the Forest Stewardship Council FSC certification, the bed is intended for durability and eco friendliness. Three fitted drawers add useful bedside storage. For agreeing furniture pieces, see the complete South Shore Cakao collection, also other South Shore collections in coordinating colors. Each part is sold individually. The mate’s bed box is covered by a 5 year warranty on parts and materials. Like all South Shore Mate’s Beds, the weight capacity is 500 pounds. Many easy assembly is needed on arrival. In general, the bed measures 76 inches long by 40 inches large by 16 inches high.

I bought this bed for my 3 year old son, as his 1st “big boy bed”. I was able to put it together myself without difficulty. It is a good tough construction for what it is made of. This isn’t hard wood we are talking about here, and the finish looks great. I only have two qualms about this bed, and they are minor. 1st, the bed is, all around, just a smidgen bigger than a regular twin mattress, so you must think about that when deciding what linens to decide. Second, the drawers aren’t on rollers. It is just a plastic slider part mounted into a slot in the wood, so it has the tendency to stick a little, especially in wet weather. But, I have found that a little olive oil does help this problem somewhat. I could still recommend this bed for anybody looking for a good, tough, inexpensive child’s bed.

We bought two for our twin granddaughters. The price was much better than at the department store web site we checked. Assembly was pretty easy, the directions were correct and all of the parts were there.
The beds are a little shorter than we projected the dimensions in the bed description are correct, we just did not pay attention. Really the low height is good for us since we bought these for preschoolers.
The drawer handles stick out and caused some scratches/bruises so we may replace them with something rounder. These beds may not last into high school, but we should at least make it through elementary school.
We could certainly decide them again.
